Palestinian Film Festival Amsterdam
I have actively involved in promoting Palestinian cinema in the Netherlands through his collaboration with the Palestinian Film Festival Amsterdam (PFFA). As a film programmer and technical team member at Ventilator Cinema, located within OT301 in Amsterdam, I have partnered with PFFA to curate and present Palestinian films to our OT301 Audience.
One notable initiative is Retro Palestine, a monthly event launched in December 2024. This series features archival screenings from PFFA’s 10-year collection of 77 films, accompanied by Q&A sessions with filmmakers, a bazaar with arts and crafts, and Palestinian vegan cuisine. The goal is to create a vibrant cultural experience that celebrates Palestinian heritage and storytelling.
Through these efforts, Ibrahim Attallihi contributes to a broader mission of cultural preservation and awareness, providing a platform for Palestinian voices and narratives within the Dutch cultural landscape
Concept Summary:
Verses of Return is a multidisciplinary performance project led by Maysa Ibrahim, in collaboration with Artists for Humanity and Brave Poets. The piece blends poetry, live sound, and archival visuals into a meditative act of resistance — reclaiming language, memory, and land through personal and collective storytelling.
